Globe Life Park

In Arlington, TX, the new Globe Life Field is the new home for the Major League Baseball’s Texas Rangers. The 40,000 seat baseball field features a retractable roof supported by 35,000 tons of steel. The 5.5 acre retractable roof, is the largest single-panel roof in the world, and features clear panels that maintain an open-air feel, allowing natural light into the ballpark, even when the roof is closed. 19,000 tons of steel were needed to construct the roof. When open, the roof will retract west, over and behind the third base grandstand. The concourses are oriented to provide 360 views of the field.
